…be running around like a headless chicken! Blimey, there’s a hell of a lot going on in London this month – time for a new blog dedicated to London in October 2011, second half…
I hope you’re all being jobless or enjoying an Autumnal break ’cause there’s sights to see, festivals to attend, music to be listened to. So off you go, umbrella at the ready: Enjoy Bloody London! Do it for me.

Where to start? Well, if I were in London right now I’d….

… advise all sustainable London entrepreneurs to quickly sign up for the first ever Clean Drinks London tomorrow evening, the 20th of October. “CleanDrinks is a high-standard network event with the aim to address sustainability as an economic opportunity.” This first CleanDrink in London is organised in the lovely Hackney City Farm!

October 20th, 6 – 10pm
Hackney City Farm
Hackney Road, where else… I used to live across the road!
Nearest bus stop: Warner Place (busses 26, 48, 55)
www.cleandrinks.com or Twitter @CleanDrinks

….. go to some of the activities of the Bloomsbury Festival – lovely festival which “offers a taster of the amazing cultural life of this beautiful area of Central London.” Should I add anything more apart from some e-info?
You could easily stay in Bloomsbury for a whole day (and night), especially during such a festival – lots of nice breakfast-, lunch- and dinner spots.

21 – 23 October

….be curious to attend the first edition of a new exciting museum event: “Moonlight Madness” organised by the Guildhall Art Gallery.
Friday the 21st will be the first ever late night moon lit opening of the Guildhall Art Gallery offering poetry readings inspired by the moon, moonbeam cocktails and music by the Sam Braysher Trio (Guildhall School of Music and Drama).
Yes, you’ve guessed right: I wouldn’t think twice! I’d be there! I love culture with a twist, visiting museums after sunset and quirky nights… And you? Are you in for a bit of moonlight caused madness?

6 – 10 pm
Free, although entrance to the exhibition will be charged at the normal rate.
Guildhall Art Gallery
Guildhall Yard (off Gresham street)

…search for new talent at The Oxjam Camberwell Takeover 2011 – a one day music festival in SE London taking place on Saturday the 22nd in aid of Oxfam. The line up of this local festival sounds varied and promising and gosh, do I love their Butterfly logo! Theirs something for all of you: from jazz to comedy and via poetry we’ll get to singer/songwriters and more… Artists are South London based with some of my favourites being singer/songwriter Daisy-Kelly Granger (www.daisykellygranger.co.uk), Speaker Sleeper (poetry accompanied by cello!), Plantman for a bit of Indie and Marie Naffah (singer/songwriter who’s only 19 years old; have a look at her “blindfolded” video! http://www.marienaffah.co.uk or twitter @marienaffah).

…watch “Strictly Come Dancing” although this isn’t an unique London event. But that said, I can highly recommend everybody to watch SCD (the results, 19.25, BBC1) this Sunday the 23rd, for you wouldn’t wanna miss out on Dutch talent Caro Emerald performing!! That one Dutch artist that easily conquers the world…

….be TOTALLY EXCITED (!!!) to go to the brand new concept Fair organised by the reknowned organisers of “The Vintage Fair”: The Vintage Pick ‘n Mix – a Vintage fair but slightly different!!!
This time it’s all about weight and no…not your weight, but the weight of the items you “pick”. You pay £15.00 per kilo, which can mean a kilo of dresses, half a kilo of blouses or maybe 3 kilo of new outfits?
OML, this sounds like an amazing new concept – exciting methinks!

Where and when to go? Grab your diary and scribble down:

“The Vintage Pick ‘n Mix, October 29th.
Hanbury Hall, Hanbury street (off Brick lane)”

Easy peasy…

I’m so jealous of you, going there and enjoying another amazing Vintage Fair event.

Entrée is free and more info can be found on www.thevintagefair.com or Twitter @vintagefair.
